Integrate Local storage with Imaginario

Back to all integrations

Local storage means the media held on your own computer or on drives connected directly to it, rather than in the cloud or on a shared server. It is where most projects begin: footage offloaded from cameras, working files, and exports sitting on an internal disk or an attached drive. For anyone who keeps media on their own hardware, this is the simplest way to bring footage into Imaginario without moving it elsewhere first.

Local storage works with Imaginario in both directions. Imaginario indexes media on your local drives, workstations and on-premises servers where it sits, makes it searchable by what is said and shown on screen, and sends finished clips back to the same drive.

Use cases

Index local drives, workstations and on-premises servers in place; pull 1080p/4 Mbps proxies and index selectively; search by speech and on-screen content; send clips and metadata back to the same location

Do I need to move my media out of Local storage?

No. Imaginario indexes your media in place and pushes clips back to Local storage, so your content stays where it lives.
