Topic and Keyword Discovery

Discover
Current version: Discovery is focused exclusively on speech and dialogue. It does not support visual or sound-based search — for that, use the Search section.
Coming soon: later this year, we’ll be rolling out Visual Discovery, which will allow you to explore and surface main characters and people, objects and props, actions and gestures, backdrops and landscapes… and more — all directly from the visual content itself.

What is Discovery?

Discovery helps you surface meaningful keywords and topics from the spoken content of your videos. It’s ideal for:

  • Podcasts and interviews
  • Events and panels
  • Press conferences
  • Factual content
  • Comedy specials
  • Talk shows
  • Documentaries
  • Any format where dialogue drives the story

Where do I find the Discovery section?

It’s located in the left-hand navigation bar — just click the light bulb icon.

How is Discovery different from Search?

  • Search is precise: you enter a query and specify what you’re looking for (e.g., speech, visual, or sound).
  • Discovery is exploratory: it automatically surfaces keywords and structured topics based on dialogue in your content.

What are the two main tools in Discovery?

  1. Keywords — displays the most common and relevant words used in your selected video(s). Great for quickly finding recurring mentions, names, or phrases.
  2. Topics — groups dialogue into full topics, anecdotes, segments, etc. Perfect for identifying self-contained, high-impact moments.

How do I use the Keywords feature?

  1. Select a video or folder (e.g., Ricky Gervais).
  2. Click “Keywords”.
  3. The platform will display a list of frequent keywords from your videos.
  4. Set your parameters: clip length (e.g., 60 seconds) and number of clips (e.g., 10).
  5. Enter a keyword to search and get curated results.
Click on any result to preview the clip.

How do I use the Topics feature?

  1. From the same video file or folder, click “Topics”.
  2. The AI will auto-generate a list of structured topics (e.g., “Midlife Crisis Signs”).
  3. Each topic links to ready-made clips with clean intros and outros (~1–2 minutes long).
  4. Click to preview and review moments that feel polished and story-ready.

Who is Discovery for?

  • Writers, editors, marketers, and producers who want quick access to soundbites, stories, or moments that stand out.
  • Anyone working with dialogue-heavy content who wants to accelerate highlight creation, soundbites or promo cuts.
