Celebrity Visual Search Filters (add-on)
What are celebrity filters?
Celebrity filters let you search for clips that feature specific public figures or characters — helping you find key appearances fast, whether they’re speaking or simply on screen.
How do I use a celebrity filter?
Here’s a quick example workflow:
- Go to the Search section (magnifier icon).
- Go to Hamburger icon → select your Search Type — e.g., Speech.
- Choose your content folders (e.g., clips featuring Ricky Gervais).
- Set clip length (e.g., 60 seconds) and number of clips (e.g., 10 recommendations).
- Click the Filters tab → go to Celebrities → search and select a name (e.g., Ricky Gervais).
- Type your query (e.g., “autograph hunters”) and search.
What will I get in the results?
Using the example above, you’ll receive clips featuring Ricky Gervais, filtered by your search query and parameters. You can use this to track specific jokes, topics, or recurring themes by talent.
Can I use celebrity filters with all types of search?
Yes! Celebrity filters can be used with:
- Visual Search
- Speech Search
- Sound Search
Just combine your search type, content folders, and query with the celebrity filter as needed.
How does celebrity detection work?
- Our system uses facial recognition to identify well-known public figures.
- It also picks up on faces in slides, screens, or background shots, which may surface additional names even if they appear briefly.
Example: Benedict Cumberbatch & laughter
If you select Benedict Cumberbatch as your celebrity filter and search for “laughter”, you’ll get clips featuring Benedict Cumberbatch in laughing scenes.
