StoryLab™ Basics

StoryLab™

StoryLab™ is Imaginario’s agentic pipeline — it moves the platform from a system of record (deep video understanding and search) to a system of action that assembles content for you. Parts of it are still in beta.

StoryLab™ offers two modes:

  • Single-asset clips — from one asset, get many social-ready clips.
  • Multi-video stories — select multiple assets and generate a summary, highlights and more (e.g., turn a two-hour film into a five-minute summary).

Single-asset clips

Select an asset and StoryLab™ automatically:

  • Analyzes the main topics discussed
  • Resizes the frame from 16:9 to 9:16, tracking the speaker
  • Adds subtitles
  • Gives you the transcript, plus a hook and topic for each clip

Then simply review the clips and select the ones you want. From here you can export to Premiere, Resolve or Avid, download the clips (cut from the proxies), or refine them in Clip Studio.

Multi-video stories

Multi-video stories is in beta and currently available to a limited number of users. Contact us if you’d like access.

Select multiple assets, then describe what you want in natural language — specific moments to capture, moods, or any detail about what the clip needs. You can also set:

  • Max duration (e.g., 10 minutes)
  • Output type (e.g., summary) and target platform (e.g., YouTube)
  • Mood (e.g., inspiring, energetic, triumphant)
  • Chronological order enforcement
  • Modality focus — e.g., build the story spine from speech/dialogue, or leave unselected for a fully multimodal result

Click Create Video and StoryLab™ outputs your story. Three agents work together behind the scenes:

  1. Search agent — finds moments across your assets based on the brief.
  2. Script writer — writes a story arc from that content pool.
  3. Timing optimizer — like an assistant editor, it adjusts the start and end points of every scene.

This works across many content types — films, football, panels, interviews and more.

Editing and exporting StoryLab™ clips

Every StoryLab™ automated social cut can be sent to Clip Studio to reframe (16:9, 9:16, 1:1), edit subtitles with different fonts, enable speaker tracking across the clip, and add graphics or branding — or exported as a project file to Premiere, Resolve or Avid so you can reconnect your local high-res masters and finish there, with all your subtitles and edits included.
