Downloading Clips and Uploaded Content
Where can I download content?
You can download from almost every major section in Imaginario:
1. Home → Uploads
These are your original long-form videos. Click the bottom arrow icon found on each video card to download the video file, the transcript, and the SRT (captions).
2. Clip Saved or Collections
For each curated clip, click the bottom arrow icon found on each video card to download:
- The clip (including aspect ratio)
- The associated SRT and transcript
- An entire clip collection — note: this will take more time than processing a single clip, as the system is cutting multiple clips at once.
This makes it easy to repurpose short-form content for social, subtitling, or translation.
3. Discovery (Keywords or Topics)
Click the three-dot menu on any surfaced clip and select Download to get the clip. If available, transcript/SRT will be included or downloadable from Clip Studio after saving.
4. Search
After running a search (e.g., “monkey cooking”), click the download icon next to the clip. To include captions or transcript data, we recommend saving the clip first, then downloading from Clip Studio or the Collection view.
5. Highlight to Edit
After selecting a transcript portion and clipping it, you can download the video, transcript, and SRT file directly from this interface.
6. Clip Studio
In Clip Studio, you can trim, reframe, or polish the clip, then download the clip, transcript, and SRT from here.
Should I download directly from recommendations or save the clip first?

I downloaded a video clip (MP4), but QuickTime won’t open it or audio won’t play. What should I do?
If you’re seeing an error when trying to open an MP4 file in QuickTime, it’s likely due to a missing audio codec — QuickTime requires the AAC audio codec, and some clips may use a different format. Here are two easy workarounds:
- Update QuickTime: make sure you’re using the latest version, as older versions may lack support for newer codecs.
- Use an alternative video player: we recommend the free players VLC Media Player or IINA. Both are free, widely used, and support nearly every video and audio format.
Apple devices can be picky about media formats, so using a flexible player like VLC is often the simplest fix.
How can I download clips in batches more efficiently?
You can download clips individually or in batches. If you’re trying to download many at once and having issues, it’s often more reliable to download them as a Collection:
- Go to Home > Collections.
- Click the three dots icon on the Collection you want.
- Select Download to get all clips in that Collection as a batch.
