Image to Video Search

Multimodal search
Image-to-Video Search is not a filter — it’s a distinct visual search method. Don’t try to apply it as a filter. If you’re after specific people / faces, better use Celebrity Filters or Facial Filters — faces require a specialist AI to identify them accurately.
Image-to-Video Search is included in all packages — no add-on required.

What is Image-to-Video Search?

Image-to-Video Search allows you to upload or select a still image (e.g., of a logo, a specific scene/shot or an object) and find matching moments across your video content where that visual appears.

It’s ideal for:

  • Finding specific moments / frames / shots in footage
  • Tracking props, locations, outfits, logos, or visual themes

How do I run an Image-to-Video Search?

  1. Go to the Search section (magnifying glass icon).
  2. Select Visual Search — this is required.
  3. Choose your content folder (e.g., Real Housewives of Salt Lake City).
  4. Set your search parameters: number of recommendations (e.g., 5 clips) and video length (e.g., 40 seconds).
  5. Click the camera icon to activate the image search function.
  6. Upload or select an image (e.g., a still of two celebrities from the show).
  7. Click Search to find video matches.

Can I use Image-to-Video Search with filters?

No — not yet. Image-to-Video Search is currently not compatible with facial expression or celebrity filters. We are actively working on turning it into a filter-compatible feature, but for now it must be used independently through Visual Search.

What kind of results will I get?

You’ll receive clips where the visual elements from your uploaded image appear, such as:

  • The same object
  • Similar frames or environments

Example: if you search using a still image of a frame with two cast members from a show, you’ll get scenes where those two people appear on screen together.

Anything else to keep in mind?

  • Always select Visual Search first — the camera icon won’t work otherwise.
  • This tool is best when used with objects, logos or shots.
  • For talent, use celebrity or visual filters — see Visual Search Filters Introduction.
